Most people have a general understanding of what “fulfillment” is. We know, on some level, that we should follow the things that lead to this type of inner satisfaction. How I Got My Sparkle Back

Many years ago, before I became the spiritual life coach that you see today, I was lost, confused and unfulfilled by the direction of my life.

At several points in my life I felt like, “is this it?” I was depressed, 60 pounds heavier, bulimic, and even suicidal.

One day, I was flipping through the channels on TV (I know I am dating myself here) and a TV show called “Starting Over.”

It was a show about Life Coaching that highlighted the healing journeys of 6 people living in a home together.

It caught my attention and I recorded, with a VCR, all the episodes and started doing the exercises they suggested on the show.

Within 6 months, my life was dramatically changing. Things started to make sense, I learned how to create energetic boundaries, how to distinguish my feelings from others, and how to create real change in my daily life!

It’s like someone put the sparkle back into my diamond.

This is when I decided that I wanted to share this type of work with others. I wanted to turn this passion into my career, so I didn’t have to take a job doing something I hated, just for money. But I knew I needed a bit more internal support to turn this dream into a reality, so I went back to school to finish my undergrad in psychology.

Shortly after graduation and working for others who I learned a lot from, I was ready to take the leap and start my own business. It was a blend of passion, fear, strategy, inspired action, and straight up crossing my fingers! (which was back, many, many years ago, in 2008!)

By no means did my journey unfold perfectly.

Actually it was filled with challenges and difficulties for about the first 5 years. But that is what they say happens when you go from employee to entrepreneur, so I knew it was nothing personal.

While it was tough, I was also cultivating a satisfaction deep within by connecting the passion in my heart to the work I was able to share with others.

And then things started to click. About ten years into coaching my schedule was packed with clients and I had to start a waiting list.

Now while this may sound intriguing…the vibration of making people wait to get help doesn’t feel so great! Being an empath I could feel the vibration of that list and the inability to create more space for them.

The Emergence of Awaken’s Spiritual Life Coaching Certification

I started to work with spirit and asked what to do. And then I had an epiphany: What if I poured everything I knew about how to help people transform and the best way to run a spiritual business into a training? And then go on to certify other people to do this kind of spiritual work?

Then we could really begin to impact this world together and build even more satisfaction for the collective.

I wanted to make sure that the people who were being called to become a spiritual life coach felt totally supported by me and fully connected to these teachings.

So I sat down and developed a dynamic program that takes you through your own transformation first.

You learn HOW to do this healing work on yourself first, and then you are empowered with the blend of experience and knowledge to take your own clients through once you are certified.

  I grew so much throughout this course that my gratitude cannot be expressed enough. Throughout the past 5 months I've become such a better version of myself. The chatter in my mind has ceased, I feel like I no longer live in fear or doubt constantly.   The last 5 months have been life changing, I truly mean it. I started the course just looking for a certification that I can add to my qualifications. The result: I became a Certified Spiritual Life Coach and, most importantly, I have also healed a part of me and awakened a very large part of my soul.   I started this out of desperation, lost and incredibly wounded. I had been trying anything I could before. I instantly knew I was in the right place. The trust I felt from Sophie was profound. This allowed me to feel safe in starting to look inward honestly.  I was able to start my healing journey and continue to do so.

  I loved every moment of the certification program. I felt that I was learning real-life applicable material to help others while at the same time becoming a better version of myself. I've gone through a lot of schooling and hold a Master's degree, and yet this has felt for the first time that I was doing assignments that were actually contributing to my growth and knowledge.   Through the teachings of Sophie and Becky, the support of my fellow Luminas, accompanied by their vulnerabilities and sharing, I have grown so much in areas that I was lacking and illuminated the areas I need to continue to work on.

Being a part of this cohort, I've been reminded that I do not need to seek outside myself to find the answers I've had all along.I was humbled and surprised at the areas of healing that would arise, often times when I least expected. One of the most important things I am leaving with is giving myself permission to feel.

  What a beautiful program.  I am glad my algorithms found Sophie's content.

I went from chaos to clarity in five months with the help of meditations, visualizations, reflection exercises, and journal prompts.

I am now clear on my purpose, my values, my limiting beliefs (at least some of them), my triggers (and how to turn them around), and finally, in the last module, my direction for my spiritual business.  The weekly reflections helped me find my voice.
